the short leather gloves sit comfortably on the wrist woth a slight flair for movement and have been hand cut from a butter soft full grain washed and tumbled 1mm vegetable tanned kangaroo leather, and finished with a deep matte black aniline dye. a meticulous selection of cuts, showcase and highlight the natural grain of the leather.
offering a dense structure, tight grain and medium to firm temper the leather has ten times the strength of cow hide. vegetable tanning is a traditional method of treating the hide using natural extracts such as tree bark, for a truly artisanal and robust finish.
hand crafted over a 30 hour period without the use of machines, the leather gloves have been hand sewn with a tonal hand waxed 0.65mm japanese linen thread. an open seam construction forms the panels of the brutalist silhouette allowing for a greater freedom of movement and breathability.
wet moulded on the hand over a 4 hour period delivers a sculptured aesthetic. the gloves are available unlined or lined in a soft linen.
