black horse culatta leather notebook

the notebook has been meticulously hand cut and sewn from a butter soft grain side washed 2.3mm vegetable tanned culatta. the leather offers a sporadic fiber structure with an array of textures and scarring which are highlighted throughout the piece. the deconstructed cover features a scar stitched panel in a contrasting white thread.

each notebook cover comes with 20 hand bound sheets and 80 usable pages of handmade khadi paper crafted from 100% long fibered cotton rag. each page is 150gsm, acid free, with a medium surface and a deckle edge. the pages are suitable for watercolour and all painting, drawing and writing media. every journal comes in a handmade leather pouch.

applying protective cream:
- apply a thin coat of the cream on a soft and clean cotton cloth
- spread it evenly in a circular motion over the surface of the leather
- if the leather is extremely dry – repeat the process up to two times within four hours
- the protective cream provides a shine and also gently darkens the leather
- do not apply the cream directly on the leather
