the minimal watch strap has been cut from a butter soft full grain 1.2mm vegetable tanned, washed and tumbled horse culatta leather with an aniline rotten corpse matte black dye treatment.
culatta is a special cut combined of the rear just above the cordovan, the belly middles and the hind shanks, offering a dense structure, tight grain and medium to firm temper. vegetable tanning is a traditional method of treating the hide using natural extracts such as tree bark, for a truly artisanal finish.
crafted with simplicity in mind, the strap has been stitched with tonal 0.65mm hand waxed Japanese linen thread without the use of machines. the unlined strap features a japanese steel buckle fastening with a burnt treatment.
each piece comes in a hand made leather package.
