the ebook pochette has been cut from a full grain 3.2mm vegetable tanned, washed and barrel tumbled tuscan horse culatta leather with our signature blood red dye treatment using a combination of an 18 month brewed iron dye base and a water based deep red top coat.
culatta is a special cut combined of the rear just above the cordovan, the belly middles and the hind shanks, offering a dense structure, tight grain and medium to firm temper. vegetable tanning is a traditional method of treating the hide using natural extracts such as tree bark, for a truly artisanal finish.
crafted from two pieces of leather, with one side showcasing the reversed culatta with shadow cordovan details and the opposite side utilising the rich grain, hand stitched with a 0.65mm hand waxed and dyed japanese linen thread.
