the keychain has been hand cut from a butter soft full grain washed and tumbled 3.2mm vegetable tanned reversed culatta leather with a rotten corpse matte black dye treatment implemented over 24 hours.
culatta is a special cut combined of the rear just above the cordovan, the belly middles and the hind shanks, offering a dense structure, tight grain and medium to firm temper.
vegetable tanning is a traditional method of treating the hide using natural extracts such as tree bark, for a truly artisanal and robust finish.
the keychain features a single piece pattern construction, hand sewn with our signature overlock stitch using a tonal 0.65mm hand waxed japanese linen thread.
a distressed heavy military sling clip allows you to easily and conveniently attach the keychain to a bag, belt or trousers and is complimented by hand forged iron hardware. the silver key holders have been hand cut, shaped and hammered in a 3mm .925 sterling silver with a 10hr slow oxidised treatment. the keychain is finished off with a 2mm .925 sterling silver wrap detail.
