the double layered leather bicep belts, have been cut from a butter soft full grain 2mm vegetable tanned, washed and tumbled horse culatta leather. the leather has been treated with an iron dye that has been brewing in the atelier for 24 months and reacts with the leathers tannins to create an array of blue,black and grey nuances. 

vegetable tanned leather is an ancient artisanal process that hinges on the delicate balance between timing and temperature. like a fine aged whiskey time is key, the careful balance of time allows the natural tannins such as tree bark to infuse, yielding rich colours and unparalleled durability. controlled cooling plays a crucial role in achieving that coveted texture and suppleness you come to expect.

crafted from a two piece pattern the bicep belts feature a small hand forged iron buckle for adjustment.

each of the stitch holes have been individually spaced and punched by hand, with each stitch meticulously implemented in a tonal 0.65mm hand waxed japanese linen thread without the use of machines.

each piece comes in a hand made leather package.

applying protective cream:
- apply a thin coat of the cream on a soft and clean cotton cloth
- spread it evenly in a circular motion over the surface of the leather
- if the leather is extremely dry – repeat the process up to two times within four hours
- the protective cream provides a shine and also gently darkens the leather
- do not apply the cream directly on the leather
