blood red culatta leather nail wallet

the nail wallet has been cut from a single piece of vegetable tanned horse culatta. the leather offers a beautifully sporadic fiber structure with an array of textures and scarring, telling a story of a past life. the leather has been finished with our signature iron dye treatment that is brewed in the atelier for 6 months, after application the dye reacts to the leathers natural tannins to offer an array of tonal nuances.

the leather is then finished off with a blood red oil dye top coat. the wallet features a triple fold silhouette held together with a 0.7mm hand waxed Japanese linen thread. a 7cm iron nail hand forged in scotland forms a unique closure and is complimented by three individual card slots, a large note compartment and signature branding. each piece comes in a hand made cow leather pouch.

applying protective cream:
- apply a thin coat of the cream on a soft and clean cotton cloth
- spread it evenly in a circular motion over the surface of the leather
- if the leather is extremely dry – repeat the process up to two times within four hours
- the protective cream provides a shine and also gently darkens the leather
- do not apply the cream directly on the leather
