the versatile long wallet has been hand cut from a butter soft full grain washed and tumbled 1.6mm vegetable tanned horse culatta in a rotten corpse matte black aniline dyed finish.
culatta is a special cut combined of the rear just above the cordovan, the belly middles and the hind shanks, offering a dense structure, tight grain and medium to firm temper. vegetable tanning is a traditional method of treating the hide using natural extracts such as tree bark, for a truly artisanal and robust finish.
hand crafted over a 20 hour period without the use of machines, the wallet has been sewn with a hand waxed 0.65mm japanese linen thread object dyed in a matte black. an open seam construction forms the front panel which is mirrored on the strap holding the hand forged iron coffin nail.
