our iteration of the classic 6 pocket bifold wallet has been hand cut from a butter soft 1mm vegetable tanned kangaroo leather in a rotten corpse matte black object dyed finish.
vegetable tanned leather is an ancient artisanal process that hinges on the delicate balance between timing and temperature. like a fine aged whiskey time is key, the careful balance of time allows the natural tannins such as tree bark to infuse, yielding rich colours and unparalleled durability. controlled cooling plays a crucial role in achieving that coveted texture and suppleness you come to expect.
crafted entirely by hand without the use of machines, the wallet features a classic bifold silhouette, with a large note compartment and multiple card slots to the interior. a closed seam construction runs the length of the wallet which is stitched with a hand waxed 0.65mm japanese linen thread.
a pigmented wax has been applied to the leather that will evolve over time to reveal the black leather beneath.
