our iteration of the classic briefcase can be worn on the shoulder, across the body or carried in hand and has been cut from a butter soft full grain 2.2mm african kudu leather.
kudu leather offers a soft handle and waxy pull up, offering a dense structure, tight grain and sporadic scar details and is finished off with a soft elephant grey dye treatment.
crafted with a three piece pattern construction without the use of machines, the angular unlined bag is hand sewn with our signature overlocked side panels forming the minimal geometric taper of the body in a tonal 0.65mm hand waxed Japanese linen thread over a 35 hour period.
the unlined interior showcases the flat hammered side seams that sit in juxtaposition to the double layered patch pockets highlighting the natural edge of the hide creating an organic form.
an open end riri zipper provides the closure to the main compartment and is adorned with a hand forged iron zipper pull and backed with the same kudu leather for added durability.
reimagined wrought iron has been re-born in the form of the stake and ring closure to keep the flap closed and the carry handle rings. the twisted layers of the wrought iron mimics the natural edge of the interior pockets. a detachable leather case, crafted from a multiple piece pattern sits at the front of the bag and features a hand distressed lobster clip that connects to a custom 10 hour slow oxidised .925 sterling silver tab that can double as a key holder if the case is disconnected.
the bag comes with a double layered deconstructed detachable kudu leather shoulder strap with an additional shoulder protector, connecting to the bag via two heavy duty lobster clips with a distressed patina.
