the bifold wallet has been hand cut from a washed and tumbled 1.3mm vegetable tanned natural horse culatta leather utilising the hides natural grain. culatta is a special cut combined of the rear just above the cordovan, the belly middles and the hind shanks. vegetable tanning is a traditional method of treating the hide using natural extracts such as tree bark, for a truly artisanal and robust finish.
crafted entirely by hand without the use of machines in a single piece pattern construction, the wallet features two landscape card slots allowing you to hold up to 8 cards as well as an array of notes in the compartment behind the card slots. a hand waxed 0.65mm japanese linen thread has been used for the construction.
the leather features a slate cold dye treatment, soaked for 48 hours to achieve a sporadic dyed surface.
each piece comes in a handmade leather pouch.
