the versatile leather belt pouch can be worn in a variety of different ways and has been cut from a butter soft full grain 3.5mm vegetable tanned, washed and tumbled reverse horse culatta leather with a layer of subdermal cordovan. the leather has been treated with an iron dye base that has brewed in the atelier for 18 months and a rotten corpse matte black top coat.
culatta is a special cut combined of the rear just above the cordovan, the belly middles and the hind shanks, offering a dense structure, tight grain and medium to firm temper. vegetable tanning is a traditional method of treating the hide using natural extracts such as tree bark, for a truly artisanal finish.
crafted with a single piece pattern construction, the bag is hand sewn with closed seam sides, and an open seam construction to the flap in a tonal 0.65mm hand waxed japanese linen thread over a 25 hour period without the use of machines. the unlined interior has been waxed for additional protection.
triple straps to the rear allow the pouch to slide directly on to a belt or a bag strap and features inverted cross stitching and an extended center strap that houses the 24hour distressed clip. a detachable keychain features a hand forged 5mm iron ring and a 10 hour slow oxidised and hammered .999 silver key ring. with its versatility the belt bag can be attached via the keychain, the distressed clip or directly threaded through the straps.
a 10 hour slow oxidised hand carved .999 silver button keeps the flap and front pocket fastened simultaneously. a vertical riri zipper forms the closure for the front pocket and is complimented by a hand carved and oxidised sterling silver zipper pull. signature branding is hidden inside the pocket ands sits on top of a hammered silver bar.
