the open seam shoulder bag has been cut from a butter soft full grain 1mm vegetable tanned, washed and tumbled kangaroo leather with a tight grain, and an aniline rotten corpse matte black dye treatment.
vegetable tanning is a traditional method of treating the hide using natural extracts such as tree bark, for a truly artisanal finish.
crafted from a split pattern construction the bag features an open seam construction running through the center of the bag with a tonal leather backing. hammered flat seams are visible to the interior, hand sewn with our signature overlock stitch in a tonal 0.65mm hand waxed Japanese linen thread over a 40 hour period without the use of machines. the top panel has been triple stitched to secure the two way riri zipper adorned with solid .925 sterling silver zipper pulls slow oxidised over a 10 hour period.
the unlined interior features multiple patch pockets to accommodate a multitude of small accessories.
a double layered triple section deconstructed strap consisting of a kangaroo leather and horse leather is triple stitched by hand and slides through double hand forged iron rings for easy adjustment.
each piece comes in a hand made leather package.
