the card case has been hand cut from a butter soft full grain washed and tumbled 2.3mm vegetable tanned matte black horse culatta leather. culatta is a special cut combined of the rear just above the cordovan, the belly middles and the hind shanks, offering a dense structure, tight grain and medium to firm temper.
crafted from a single piece pattern without the use of machines, the cardholder features two compartments with the ability to hold up to 16 cards as well as folded notes. a tonal hand waxed 0.65mm tonal japanese linen thread has been used for the overlocked sides and the open seam construction to the rear interior pocket.
a custom .925 sterling silver buckle closure to the front has been slowly oxidised over a 10hr period and is fastened with a wrap around strap that has a space at the rear to attach to a belt loop or bag strap.
