blood red deconstructed leather belt

a deconstructed belt, hand cut from a 2.8mm vegetable tanned italian culatta leather. culatta is a special cut combined of the rear just above the cordovan, the belly middles and the hind shanks, offering a dense structure, tight grain and firm temper.

the belt features deconstructed panels hand stitched using our signature adaptation of the overlocked stitch in hand waxed and hand dyed 0.65mm japanese linen thread. the belt is finished with a unique 48 hour hand dyed treatment combining an iron dye base coat and a water based red dye top coat. a hand forged, hammered and burnt solid bronze buckle compliments the tonal nuances of the dye treatment. each piece comes in a handmade leather pouch.

applying protective cream:
- apply a thin coat of the cream on a soft and clean cotton cloth
- spread it evenly in a circular motion over the surface of the leather
- if the leather is extremely dry – repeat the process up to two times within four hours
- the protective cream provides a shine and also gently darkens the leather
- do not apply the cream directly on the leather
