the versatile and compact shoulder bag has been cut from a butter soft full grain 1.2mm vegetable tanned and tumbled horse culatta leather with a visible layer of subdermal cordovan on the reverse. crafted with a single piece pattern construction, the bag is hand sewn with our signature overlocked sides in a metal grey 0.65mm hand waxed Japanese linen thread. the unlined interior features a zipper pocket with a custom solid burnt bronze zipper pull and two card slots. an extended center carry handle at the rear allows for a quick grab and go action.
the bag has undergone extensive treatment over the course of 10 days to replicate the texture and feel of the iron zipper pull. starting out as a bone coloured leather, it is first dyed with a layer of volcanic ash, with a waterproof membrane applied over the top to lock in the texture. multiple layers of a water based dye are applied over the top to bring out an array of tonal nuances before being oiled and waxed.
hand forged iron hardware connects the hand stitched shoulder strap to the body, with a hand forged iron hook allowing for strap adjustment. the bag is finished off with a riri m6 zipper closure and custom iron zipper pull. each piece comes in a hand made calf leather package.
