the leather phone holder, has been cut from a supple full grain 2mm vegetable tanned, washed and tumbled reverse horse culatta leather, with a distressed flat matte rotten corpse black dye treatment.
vegetable tanned leather is an ancient artisanal process that hinges on the delicate balance between timing and temperature. like a fine aged whiskey time is key, the careful balance of time allows the natural tannins such as tree bark to infuse, yielding rich colours and unparalleled durability. controlled cooling plays a crucial role in achieving that coveted texture and suppleness you come to expect.
crafted with a three piece pattern the phone case features a single main compartment with a slip pocket to the rear. each of the stitch holes have been individually spaced and punched by hand, with each stitch meticulously implemented in a tonal 0.65mm hand waxed japanese linen thread without the use of machines.
the compact bag features a fixed 3mm culatta strap with a 52cm drop, allowing you to wear it round the neck or across the body. hand forged .925 sterling silver geometric forms hold the strap in place which is mirrored by the triple .925 sterling silver details to the front, with one acting as a closure for the strap fastening. all the silver elements have been slow oxidised over a 10hr period and then sanded to highlight the details.
each piece comes in a hand made leather package.
