a versatile cross body bag, cut from a 0.9mm transparent horse leather offering a waxy parchment type texture with a tight grain structure. crafted without the use of machines in a multiple panel construction, the bag is hand sewn over a 24 hour period. the unlined interior accentuates the inner construction and stitching with the visible seam work.
the bag has undergone an iron bath treatment soaked for 3 hours in an iron solution that has been brewing in the atelier for 18 months, creating an array of rusted nuances. a deep red dye is applied over the top to create our signature blood red finish, while still maintaining the leathers transparent nature. portraying the surface of a blood moon the rich rust particles collide with the deep red nuances.
the shoulder bag features open seams to the front and rear allowing the bag to move and twist, and our signature overlock stitched side panels form foundation of the bags silhouette, utilising a hand dyed and waxed 0.65mm japanese linen thread. a vertical riri zipper pocket to the rear can accommodate an array of valuables and features a custom hand made 10hr slow oxidised .925 sterling silver zipper pull.
a hand forged iron link chain sits centre stage and forms half of the double faced hand stitched adjustable leather shoulder strap. double iron rings allow for easy strap length adjustment, for cross body wear or as an oversized neck pouch. a single double faced strap forms the simplistic front closure.
each piece comes in a hand made leather pouch.
